Contact the Members of the Florida Legislature and urge them to prioritize education by meeting the Governor’s Recommended Budget for K-12 Education.

The current per K-12 student funding is $6,915, well below what the funding districts were receiving in 2007-2008.

Governor Scott recommended an increase in total funding to K-12 education of $842 million, more than either the Florida Senate or the Florida House is recommending.

Governor Scott recommended per student funding of $7,176.23, an increase of $261.33, more than either the Florida Senate or the Florida House are recommending.

If the Legislature is serious about prioritizing education, they should minimally meet the Governor’s proposed budget funding levels.
