Ready…Set…Go Virtual School

Monday starts a new chapter in public education in Pinellas County Schools. There is a huge learning curve that students and teachers will be navigating together!!

As we embark on this thing called “eLearning,”  Please offer grace to your child’s teacher. We promise that educating your children is still their #1 priority even when some teachers may have their own children to help at home as well.❤️

We are about to navigate unchartered waters with little, to no prep time and planning during our “Spring Break”.  Teachers support our kids and will all be doing their absolute best!  Parents can help by offering encouragement and assistance to their children. Please feel free to reach out to their teachers if you have questions.  You got this!

Online Learning Information

A Message from Principal Cerreta

While our school building may be closed, learning will continue. Over the next week I encourage you to engage in the academic enrichment activities available through our school website as our teachers prepare for their class specific lessons that will begin on March 30th. I also want to make sure you know that our school will be distributing digital devices for students and families that do not have access to a computer, iPad, tablet or smartphone. Any existing device that can access Clever and the Internet will work. If you already have such a device, visit our webpage for next steps. For any family that needs a digital device, we will be distributing devices for at home learning on Tuesday, March 24 and Wednesday, March 25 between the hours of 8am and 3pm in the Car Circle of the school. Both the students and a parent or guardian must be present to check out the device We are a strong community and I know we will continue to support each other as we move forward.

This week is Academic Enrichment Week 3/24-3/27 for the students.

Review the Digital Learning Students and Families webpage and resources (https://www.pcsb.org/Page/32734)

Vision/Hearing/BMI Screenings

vision and hearing

Thursday March 12th is our annual Vision/Hearing/BMI Screenings for the following grades K, 1st and 3rd. We will also be screening students in 2nd, 4th and 5th grades if the student is new to our county this year. Your student will receive a letter to bring home with the results of their screening. We are asking students who wear glasses to please bring them the day of the screening. Parents who do not wish for their student to be screened may opt out in writing to the attention of the school nurse.
